PositiveThis is the first building I've walked into that had an immediate warm welcome feeling. This place smells amazing. The few staff I encounter were friendly, and helpful. Every where you looked residents were every were and they all looked happy. The building was very clean and beautifully decorated.

CriticalZero communication unless you throw a fit. She was there a week and they finally called and had us fill out her DNR and admission paperwork only to turn around 30 MINUTES after left to send her to the ER. They did not call the day before when her mental state faltered or that morning when they couldn't get her to communicate.

PositiveI wanted to share my experience with the staff at Harbor Lakes Rehab Center. I've had a friend staying in rehab to get stronger after being in the hospital (in and out for the last few months} But when he was released from the hospital sadly when he got home he had a fall. And his son chose this facility to get him strong enough to feel safe at his home. The nurses, aids, meals are exemplary with their service. Food can be a little spicy. Being you aren't able to visit facilities like this one in our pres…

CriticalMy dad was here for a few weeks before transferring to a nursing facility in Fort Worth. He is legally blind, mostly deaf, was in a lot of pain, and generally required a high level of care during his stay, Two of his CNAs were very kind and attentive. The rest of the staff working with him were at best apathetic and continually ignored my dad's requests for simple comforts. I don't think they were intentionally unkind, but perhaps understaffed and not trained in dignified care. Consistently my dad was giv…

CriticalMy husband was a rehab patient from a massive brain surgery in Dallas 40-45 days prior to coming to Harbor Lakes! We were there only 5 days out of 6 with 4 falls out of his wheel chair while left totally unattended, this with very fresh tender scars on his head! I immediately removed him from this place! I was never visited by the DON, stayed almost 18 hours daily with him and was a very easy contact. All the care I saw in that 5 days were nurses aides, which seemed to have very little caring, probably from over wo…

PositiveExcellent Rehab. My mother recently stayed at Harbor Lakes Nursing and Rehab. Before I picked the facility, I did some internet research and saw the review on this website...thank goodness i didn't take the one review in it's entirity and not pick Harbor Lakes because we had a wonderful experience there! The staff were extraordinarily caring and kind to not only my Mother, but me and my children. Everytime we visited, she was happy, clean, well fed and enjoying excellent therapy on her replaced knee. It w…
