Haven at Lakewood Review

The apartments are nice, the cleanliness could be much better especially in the common areas. Staff is always short staffed and has a revolving door as far as turn around with the aides in particular. Management is not so good, I find that they do not really respond to problems but rather make excuses and deflect. The food at the facility is also not good, my mother has been there for about a year and while it seemed great at first it is not so good now. Over the top

Have and Lakewood is a great facility. It is expensive, but staff is responsive and top notch. I cannot say enough. And I mean that from the caring and responsive mgmnt/staff right down to the quality of the food and care.

Kind and caring staff for sure!

I had to move my mom in less than a year. Haven is not a good place for someone with moderate dementia. It is set up like an apartment and it is very confusing for someone with dementia to navigate. It's too compartmentalized. I was assured prior that it would work for my mom's situation but it became clear the environment wasn't working. Staff was great. They tried their best. But I wish I would have known the drawbacks prior.

down to earth facilities and amazing staff

The staff is amazing. Sometimes communication isn't the best all the time. I have to follow up more than I would like, but I think they are just super busy, Maybe a little short staffed. Apartment is great though and I feel like they all really care about my mother and the rest of the residents. Staff is just the best, really

Made finding a place so much easier

Called when our Mother needed an assisted living place, A Place for Mom, was right there, with all kinds of information. Locations and helps suggestions on what to ask and look out for. They made our task so much simpler. VERY friendly and cooperative. Plus they sent me several appointments reservations around were we wanted mom to be. Overall I am very Pleased with the process. Haven at Lakewood Tops the List

I would recommend this as your top choice for your loved one. The value for the money here is wonderful. My loved one's room and the community are clean and spacious. This is a very homey environment compared to feeling like a dorm room setting. We were able to bring our own furniture for our loved one into the community.
