My sister is at the skilled nursing facility of Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation. We chose it for her because we are familiar with it. That's where my dad was, and they offer exceptional care. They have an abundance of staff, and someone is always available to give care, answer a call, or be there as needed. My sister was a client there and received wonderful care. We couldn't have asked for more care and responsive staff on the 2nd hall especially Rosalie ( nursing assistant). The nurses, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and activity director were caring and always responsive. The construction was a little challenging but the nearer areas were very upscale and nice. The rooms were clean. But the food was inedible. Eggs were cold every morning with soggy toast. Dinner was dry, bland veggies when available. Pizza was like cardboard and burgers like shoe leather. I had to bring her food to eat the entire 3 weeks as she couldn’t chew or eat anything they brought. However, staff was very kind and caring. Can’t thank them enough for the good care

Please do not just leave a post hip fracture client in this facility without family supervision. The place is under staffed and the CNA help was lacking. I rarely saw one when I was there and I never saw the patient fed...NOT one time. She lost weight and acquired a stage 1 pressure ulcer because she could NOT speak for herself.
