We went to Heritage Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care up in Conroe that has both assisted living and memory care. It's very, very nice, but the price was out of our league because you have to pay cash for it all. I think they all have courtyard access, and they've got a living area and a bedroom. That's just the way they're all set up in the assisted living. It was very new; everything was updated, and they had a nice atmosphere. Facility did not keep the resident apartments clean. The room always reeked of urine and the bathroom floor was always sticky and dirty. They were very disorganized. Billing was a nightmare. Individual caregivers were okay. But most were grumpy and unhappy seeming. I moved my husband out of there within a month to[Name Removed]....was a very good move.

PositiveThe building was clean and well maintained. The courtyard area was small and not real inviting. I feel that my mother is not quite ready for an assisted living facility. There were activities; but, I think she needs a more robust atmosphere to keep her engaged.

Very unorganized. The room always smelled like urine because they wouldn't change the bed. Did not keep up with incontinence issues. Billing was a mess. The people working there were always so grumpy. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.
