My mother is in the assisted living community of Heron Pointe Senior Living in Monmouth. We chose it for her because it was near her residence, and she has some friends there from the church. They gave her a beeper that goes around her neck. She presses it, and somebody shows up to help her, like with the bathroom and her showers. They bring her her meals and try to encourage her to eat out in the dining area with other people. They're trying to encourage her to interact with other people within the community.…

Communication is very poor. There are far too many mistakes made and service is inconsistent. Our cottage, a duplex, is good. We have 2 bedrooms and 2 bath rooms and a garage. We have a patio with lawn in the back. We really like Monmouth, a small town that we can walk to most locations. As far as the staff, we are in independent living, so only deal with the senior staff.
