I visited a place called Home Sweet Home on the Hudson and toured the assisted living. It's on a cliff above the Hudson River so you can see it from there. I toured the entire place and they have a very nice dining room with enough space for everybody. They have enough caretakers, too. They also had a place where people could go and do arts and crafts. We have had a hard time, getting physical therapy for my loved one. The overall approval process is taking a long time. My loved one is not too happy about the food. The quality standards is not good, for the amount of money that is being paid. On the other hand, my loved one is happy with activites. They have music and weekly band during the summer.

My mom did well at Home Sweet Home on the Hudson. They allowed outside help to come in. It was a nice place, and they were willing to work with us regarding her care. They did bathing and dressing up, but they didn't have help for eating, so we had to get outside assistance. They did whatever they could to help Mom. All residents had private rooms with a bathroom. They had activities every day and nice meals. They had a very beautiful view from the lobby, so everybody enjoyed being there.
