Food: Not enough emphasis on good nutrition. All white flour (sandwiches, buns, pizza, etc.). Food with preservatives (lunch meats, ham, bacon, sausages). Potato chips, French fries, tater tots.

The lady who toured with us at Ivy Park at San Marino, was very good. My husband and I looked at their assisted living facility. We saw two rooms, with one of them being a small 1-bedroom apartment. Because of the prices, we have just decided that we only need a single room, and the suite that they have is quite larger than the one we saw at another facility. Ivy Park at San Marino was very beautiful. It's just very limited in their services. That's because they're small, and I knew I would not be happy there because it was such a small community, but that's OK for people who don't want to be around a lot of people. For meals, you could make your choice, and it looked like they had a pretty good menu. They were nice in that way and very accommodating. The chef will make you a special meal.
