Memory Care

Kaplan was our first choice for memory care for my husband. I looked at numerous facilities and although other facilities were nice, Kaplan was the most transparent when it came to pricing. It is clean and the staff are very nice and they listen to any feedback I might have. My husband is happy there. Memory care is very expensive so my advice is do your homework to make sure it's the right fit.

Review for Kaplan Estates

Visited 6 places. Chose them because of price, location and it seemed like a really nice place. Good at first but when my wife fell I had to hire private escorts and that doubled my expense.

A welcomed option when planning long term

I chose that place because they are one of the few that can transfer residents from memory care (pay out of pocket for spend down) to skilled nursing (paid by medicaid) in the same location. It made a horrible situation slightly easier by having this option. The place is nice and upkept, staff is friendly, but the care of the residents is questionable (greasy hair, unbrushed teeth, lost laundry, soaked mattress due to no mattress protector - which was supposed to be provided...), like any other elderly care housing

Staff was always quick to respond to any issues. There is a waiting list currently to get in. I would recommend Kaplan Estates to others looking for care for a loved one.

Our Experience

My loved one is currently a resident at Kaplan Estates. This facility has not been the best experience so far. The food can be good, but sometimes it is awful. Also, some of the aides can be scary bad. It is not consistent.
