I visited Kensington Park Senior Living's independent living community. It's actually up there among my top three. I liked the location, the feel of it, the campus, and the people were great. Independent living is separate from memory care and Alzheimer's care, and I kind of like that. I like that they had a concierge. I have a very dear friend who's in Kensington Park Senior Living right now. The staff is wonderfully considerate and watchful of the residents. The food is five-star gourmet. It's great. The cleanliness is excellent. The rooms are adequate, very light, and very cheerful. They have all kinds of activities. His daughters did a lot of research and they felt like that was the top place in this area.

I toured Kensington Park Senior Living. It was kind of over-furnished. It was almost Victorian or Edwardian kind of feel to it. I felt like it was my great-grandmother's house. The place was clean. The people we met there were nice. They had good facilities. It's considerably larger than the other place, which is also part of why I didn't like it as well. And they had a higher deposit. My Mom has been at Kensington Park Senior Living Center for almost two years. She is battling dementia, and the director of memory care has been so accommodating and supportive, helping us understand the disease and coaching us through it. Everyone from the managing director to the nurses, the caregivers, the activity coordinators, and the concierges truly treat my mom like their mom.
