My husband suffered a stroke and was a resident of St. Johns for 3 months while learning how to care for himself. He had daily therapy in order to learn how to walk and how to live with the use of only one hand. The nursing assistants were kind, patient and helped my husband laugh while helping him. The occupational therapist was helpful in providing aids for my husband to use in order to dress himself and manage with daily tasks.
