My wife is in skilled nursing at Lakes of Sylvania. What I like most is that it's very clean, and the staff is very nice. They seem to have everything that an individual would need. The food is excellent. I understand they've catered food to the Sylvania senior citizens complex sometimes, providing lunches and dinners. The food is very nice, very good. When I first went there, I thought it was about a year old, but it's around 12 years old. That's how nice they keep it up. What I like the least …

We chose to have Mom at The Lakes of Sylvania because she was there for rehab, so the transition from there to assisted living was easy for her as she was familiar with the staff and the caregivers. The facility allowed us to come in and bring the things that would fit into her room. The employees are very nice. The PT department was excellent. Now that she's in the assisted living, they do crafts, bingo games, and a lot of activities with the family. Every Friday, they have a little happy hour where they get …

The first time I visited The Lakes of Sylvania I may have recommended it. It sure looked nice on the surface .... what's deeper that matters. Their treatment of my grandmother was beyond reprehensible and showed complete disregard for her wellbeing. They were supposed to be her care facility. She was in nursing care (not assisted living). They refused to assist with her adjustment to the facility, were complicit with over medicating and "snowing" her, and when we stopped that from happening the facil…

The Lakes of Sylvania is excellent and I like the staff's availability. The rooms were great, they're one of the few places where rooms were furnished. The dining area was very clean, nice and open. They had a ton of activities which is one of the things I like about it. They have people doing different kinds of things, like they have exercise and bingo available.
