I visited this facility

I visited the independent living community of Linden Ponds in Hingham. I like the grounds. It's very attractive when you drive in. I like the way the physical buildings inside are built. They're attractive, large, and ample. I like the multiple restaurants that they have. I also like the apartment. We were offered lunch, which was very nice. There are many dining areas, and there are many choices. They have many activities, too. The only problem I had with them is the distance from where my family lives.

I visited this facility

I found Linden Ponds to be satisfactory. Nothing really stands out as being a little bit different, except for the fact that they have an onsite CVS store there, so that was something I wasn't aware of, which I thought was a good idea. The staff was very helpful, very informative, and willing to answer any questions. We enjoyed a meal there. Regarding cleanliness, they were very well maintained. The cleanliness was outstanding. I went through one of the apartments, and it was very well laid out, and so I appre…

I am/was a resident of this facility

Have lived here 3 years. LP is very well managed. Currently there are 4 full time doctors and a part-time dentist. A huge number of clubs. On site PT. Pretty much everything you wold want or need.

I visited this facility

I did a tour of Linden Ponds. It's an independent living facility but I believe you can progress to memory care. They had a lot of activities. It was a much bigger place, but it just was too far away from my children right now. The only bad part, the distance from interacting with my relatives. There's nothing wrong with Linden Pond, it is just far away. It's the same as all the other places, except it is in a much larger area and a much larger facility with more things to do. I believe they have a b…

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My parents have lived here for at least 10 years. We were so happy they were there as they got older and their health started to fail, especially because they had a rehab facility on-site. It was a great comfort to us until they needed it. My 88 year old mom is the caregiver of my 91 year old father who has some dementia. Well my mom had a heart attack, spent 2 weeks at Brigham & Woman's in Boston, almost died. She now needs to be moved to rehab and there is no bed for her at the rehab at Linden Ponds. She…

I visited this facility

I have visited a few facilities & this one is nicer than most. There are over 1,000 apartments spread over a large wooded & landscaped campus with two clubhouses & lots of amenities. It's 6 miles from charming Hingham Center & waterfront which is a plus for me. It is not a classic CCRC - the entry fee & monthly 'rent' is for independent living only and assisted living/memory care is fee-for-service at market rate. That brings those fees down but increases risk for those without lo…
