Overall, I would recommend this place

The community is nicely decorated, clean, and smells clean. The staff is cordial and pleasant, and the care provided appears sufficient. They seem to have a decent variety of activities, along with occasional bigger events. The regular lunch and dinner menus seem somewhat limited, with about nine standard dishes to choose from each day. Delayed response takes over hour for caregiver Room not cleaned very well Meds not given for two days after arrival. Her shoulder was injured because not getting her up properly.

Exceptional care

The community relations manager is exceptional. The caregivers are very friendly and good to my mom. They are very good at addressing issues head on when they arise. The food is good, as is the presentation, but it lacks favor. Mom likes a little more salt, and butter... Just a little bit more flavor would make it a perfect experience. But we understand why they prepare the food the way they do.

The Facility is very clean and has a nice floor Plan for dining, room size and areas to socialize. The Director from my initial communication with her was very friendly and accommodating with the tour and gave me all the information I need to make the right decision for my mother.

I visited this facility

We looked at the assisted living facility of Magnolia Court in Vacaville for my parents-in-law. What I like most about them is their whole facility, the activities for the patients, the atmosphere, and the design of the place. Everything was just very nice, welcoming, and we felt very comfortable when we were there. The living spaces seemed spacious enough and were very clean. They were very positive and went out of their way to make the people comfortable and happy living there.

Caring staff

Overall, the majority of the caregivers, med techs and other staff members are very kind and caring. The current activities directors are fun and they do have fun celebrations. I personally feel they have a big turnover in caregivers and seem shorthanded. They have also had a recent rate increase for care of over 40% which is of concern.
