PositiveOverall Feedback of Experience at Personal Care Home
The home and bathrooms seem very clean but his room is very dusty so I have to use pledge to clean it myself. Resident has fallen much less than where he was previously and he is choking much less due to their advice and insistence on using thickener in his liquid beverages (He has severe dysphasia). Resident likes the food. (no activities- maybe cards now and then)

The reason for the rating is they don't have any programs. They didn't offer him any mental stimulation whatsoever. I had explained to to Miss Margaret that my brother needed to be among other people that could Converse with him or have some sort of mental stimulation other than just being allowed to watch TV for 12 hours a day but that is all he ever did and nobody as far as I could see reminded him to put his teeth in ever and he told me one day that he wished he had money so he could buy some teeth so it's prett…

[name removed] home care was secure, clean and quiet neighborhood. My father was always dressed appropriately and clean. Meals were wholesome and balanced. Family members were always informed of our father's progress and daily activities. His Christian faith was respected and he had weekly visits and prayer from a clergyman. My Dad's hygiene and skin care was excellent. I wish all care homes were as caring as[name removed]place.

Our situation is different in that we live out of state, with my brother living near her in Houston. He was her primary caregiver but has not been able to accept that he can no longer take care of her. We feel Margaret has been a blessing. She has many years of experience with dementia patients.
