Do not take your loved one here. My grandmother got COVID during an outbreak in August 2025— staff were unmasked and placed her in group dining despite her high risk. She was hospitalized after 14 days there and died. She also developed a stage 2-3 bedsore from being left in her wheelchair sitting for long periods and not being turned. No care plan presented to the family after 14 days as advertised , no communication-refused email, allegedly it was down. How do you conduct business? Very convenient way to avoid a …

The following is my review of Margaret Tietz rehab facility in Queens, New York. I will cover both the positive and negative. The physical therapy department is very good. The premises are spotless with a cheerful decor. The entire building comprising six floors are well kept as well. The patients rooms are adequate but need to be refurbished. My parent was relocated from an emergency room to the Margaret Tietz facility for rehabilitation due to a broken arm and limited use of the other arm resulting from a virus. The staff exhibited consistent friendliness, and the meals provided were both age-appropriate and nutritious. However, it's worth noting that the therapy sessions were limited to a maximum of two sessions lasting 20-30 minutes each day, with only one session offered on both weekend days. Thanking Hanna in admissions (the navigator) and Lianah, Social services Dir. as to all staff. They do a tremendous job, caring, thoughtful and helpful. The facility is super clean, the food is great. From the time you enter the facility your greeted warmly at the front desk, the Doctors and nurses keep you updated regularly, my family member was always clean and well groomed, as well as, the rooms and outside areas. This is a review of the rehab department of the Margaret Thietz facility. In Jamaika, Queens. My friend has been there for weeks now. She is a diabetic which is known to the staff there. Yet she had been given orange juice and chocolate as well as chocolate chip cookies. Not surprisingly, her blood sugar has been consistently high. There is absolutely no transparency. Virtually no one returns calls despite numerous messages. My elderly mother is simply not getting the professional medical attention she needs. They take tests (EKG, X-ray) and never let us know the results. I have been trying to reach nurses/drs for 2 weeks without a single returned call.
