I am/was a resident of this facility

I came to Hope Village post surgery. Lived here for about six months. The CNA staff who work here are great. But there are not enough of them. "Agency" CNA and RN nurses are hired regularly and do not know what they are doing or where supplies are. Tonight we should have 5 CNA staff per shift- we have 2. Residents wait 1-1.5 hours for call lights to be answered. Food is prepackaged corporate fare- not suitable for diabetics or people with dementia- the diagnosis of many people here. Two to three people ar…

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My friend has moved into Marquis Hope Village. It's a beautiful and wonderful place to live. The people that work there are amazing. Everybody is so kind and friendly, and it's a great place. The food is really good. The dining area is beautiful, open, airy, and friendly. They have lots of activities. They go for drives in the country. They go out to the grocery stores once a week. They have donuts and coffee on Friday mornings. They play bingo every Tuesday. The ladies can get their nails done once a wee…

There is way too many residents per staff member. The staff are stressed and the residents have to wait too long to receive care. Nearly 75 residents per 1 med aide, which could be dangerous.

We found Hope Village in Canby, OR and put money down on it, but it has a long waiting list. It has assisted living and a nursing home, each run by different groups of people. They’re nice little homes. You pay $500 or $600 a month for taxes, and you don’t have to do any hard work if something breaks; they take care of everything, and you don’t have to worry about getting service people to do the work that you can’t do. Where we are now, we’re hiring to get everything done. I’ve been researching and this place is l…

I visited this facility

I didn't like Marquis Care because it is too large. They have too many people and less staff. The rooms and apartments are too small. It takes the residents too long before they can have dinner. The staff's work ethics are good. They try very hard to do their job.

I visited this facility

The woman who guided us through Marquis at Hope Village was very knowledgeable and friendly, and she went out of her way to make sure that we have all the information we needed before making a decision. We looked at a 1-bedroom apartment, and then we went to a 2-bedroom. They have a library, they have activities, they get together and do jigsaw puzzles and cards, and there's a TV if they want to watch with other people instead of by themselves in their apartment. They could add about 20 more apartments, but it…
