Meadow Lakes is a large facility - very spread out. Since it is 65 years old and set in an arboretum , it has a kind of funky, earthy odor throughout. They are in the process of rennovating and improving their dining space and options. The units we saw were both nice, but a long walk to the central area for activities. The finance plan of a sizable purchase amount plus hefty monthly fees is not our preference. The fees do not include all meals. Considering the population of the facility, we did not see many people …

I’m very happy here

I have lived at Meadow Lakes for 3 years, having moved from Chicago. For me, the most important ingredient are the friends you make at your new community. I would suggest to anyone shopping around for a LifePlan residence is to meet as many current residents as possible. I have dozens of new friends, people who I can share my life with. I have neighbors that I enjoy, classmates that I listen to, dozens of others that I share life’s experiences. For me, the second most important ingredient is the staff. And once a…

I visited this facility

I will move into the Meadow Lakes. This community is kind of built around a couple of ponds, and it's very well landscaped. You look out, and there's beautiful scenery. You can see out the windows when you look between units, and typically, you'll have a large window in your unit, and you could look out and see that. It seemed like a friendly place. Almost everyone will give you one meal a day. Their free meal is breakfast, and that was described as a continental breakfast. Then you have some spendin…

Critical

Look elsewhere End of life care when so desperately needed is non existent. An emotionally exhausting letdown for our family. They simply DO NOT Show up for these precious elder residents in their greatest hour of need. Shameful.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Mom moved to Meadow Lakes. It is the right location and the right price range. She felt comfortable there. The staff seems very pleasant and very helpful. The facility is very clean. I'm very sensitive to odor and it smells good there. Everybody is very helpful and pleasant. They are kind of pricey, but most places are. Mom's apartment seems adequate.

As we aged we moved to Meadow Lakes from Ohio to be closer to our daughters. While the grounds are beautiful, it is the people who make it special. There is an open friendliness here. Each time we pass others in the halls or across bridges connecting buildings, we exchange greetings. The staff is also welcoming, and they never fail to meet our needs in a timely manner. It is easy getting to know new people through the myriad of activities Meadow Lakes offers. When we arrived we were invited several times for dinner…
