CriticalI do NOT recommend Montereau! After hearing so many good things about Montereau and listening to their sales pitch, my sister and I, along with my dad who would be moving in, thought Montereau would be a great place to retire. Sadly, that was far from the case. This post would be way too long if I spelled out all of the issues we encountered. So I'll simply and briefly list four items that give a good idea of our experience at Montereau. One: While my dad was living there, Montereau had troubles with their boi…

CriticalMontereau Tulsa Skilled Nursing I will give this place a 3 star rating only because the cma's and nurses were very nice. I will say the nurses that I had didn't seem to have a clue that something wasn't right when they should have known. The therapists definitely should have known. Especially one of them who claimed to have also broken her ankle in the past and wore a boot. She had helped me shower and took off my boot and then bagged and taped my leg to keep the cast dry. Never having had a broken a…

CriticalMy parents have lived here since 2020. The facilities are nice, there are lots of activities on offer, and the residents are great! Note that many of the activities are organised by residents so have little reflection on the paid staff. Unfortunately there has been a change of executive management that has led to a very high turnover of mid level admin and lower level staff and a staff retention problem. This is particularly acute in maintenance and housekeeping with urgent maintenance requests (backed up sinks, he…

CriticalLast March, after my having received a diagnosis of malignant melanoma and possibly only one year to live, my wife and I moved into Montereau. Later we discovered that the agreement we signed had not been thoroughly explained to us. Later we discovered that Montereau did not live up to the website promises. After 7.5 months of living there, we moved out. The management refused to discuss an error they made in refunding my entrance fee. We paid $44,400 per month to live there. If you are considering moving to Monter…

PositiveWe went to Montereau and toured their assisted living, skilled nursing, and long-term care. The staff was very friendly. The facility was very clean and pretty. The residents appeared to be happy. It's a very nice facility. The rooms were adequate. For assisted living, they had different room sizes. They had one-bedroom and two-bedroom. They had different floor plans and sizes to accommodate your needs and your finances. Their dining was very clean. They showed us a menu. They have multiple choices every day a…
