I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom is living in Mt. Carmel Community at The Village. She went in first to assisted living and then ended up going to memory care. She loves it there. She wasn't happy when they moved her into memory care because now she's locked up. The other day they were playing chair volleyball and they sent me pictures. I just love the head nurse that's over that area. She's awesome. We had a meeting with her, I think it was Thursday and she was talking about Alzheimer's and where Mom's at righ…

Critical

Experience at Mt. Carmel

My mother was previously a resident at Mt. Carmel Community at the Village and her experience at this facility was okay. The cleanliness of the facility was great. The staff and the meals were good. The care services were not great. The activities and value for cost were okay, even though the rent includes a level of care. Ultimately, we ended up moving my mother to a different facility.

I visited this facility

Mt. Carmel Community at the Village was very nice. The other place we toured was better, the rooms here were a little bit small and kinda dreary. The staff who assisted us during the tour was very nice and very accommodating. She showed us everything that we asked to see, and explained everything very well. They bragged about the food, but we didn't get to taste the food. Everybody that we asked about the food said it was very good. They had regular activities, they showed movies every day in a special area, a…

I visited this facility

We toured Mt. Carmel Community at the Village. The thing I like best is it was closest to where I live, but also a new facility. Like in the memory care, it's a three-to-one ratio, three people for every person that they have employed, and a nice, new place. It's clean, the rooms are barrier free, and they fit what our needs would be. The downside of it is that they didn't have immediate availability, so we're waiting for availability.

I visited this facility

We went to Mt. Carmel Community early this year. They treated us very well, it was an organized community, it's a nice, quiet place to live. Their services are: they clean your house once a week, you get electronic monitoring inside the house, and it will detect any action. The homes are fairly new, they are very attractive, and very clean, it's a very clean organization, the neighborhood, and everything. The manager also spent time with us. They did a very good job.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My friend was at Mt. Carmel Community at the Village, and it was very nice. We arranged for her to have a small apartment. It was a room with a full bath, and a little kitchenette area. She basically took two rooms and they put a door in between. They have activities, and two social directors, one comes on Monday and Tuesday, and the other one comes in Wednesday through Friday. Some people do social directing on Saturdays as well. They bring in various programs from outside, some bands in the village would go in, o…
