CriticalWhen Mom left Encompass rehab I was glad to find New Haven in Tomball. It was a smaller facility and they offered Hospice in her assisted living if needed. The staff was friendly and the facility clean and welcoming. Her room was small but adequate and hospice provided a hospital bed. But Mom stayed bedridden and never used the bathroom facilities or was able to eat a meal there so can't comment on the food. The staff was cordial and helpful when called. I hired caretakers to be with her round the clock because sh…

CriticalWe were suppose to receive a prorated refund for 9 days[Amount Removed], after my brothers death. They keep an additional 2 weeks even after room is cleared. We can't get [Names Removed] or corporate to return calls or emails, although we were promised refund end of April credited to account. Be distrustful of financial dealings!

PositiveWhat we like the most about New Haven Assisted Living community is that the staff is attentive to the residents. They show love and compassion to them. They celebrate all of the holidays with parties and activities.
★★★★★
PositiveMy mom is relatively happy there. She is always concerned when the staff changes, which it does often. The food is a mixed bag, either absolutely delicious or inedible (according to her). The activity director is absolutely wonderful. She keeps the residents entertained. We really appreciate the small size, it affords the residents to easily forge relationships with each other and the staff.
★★★★★
CriticalThe food that is served leaves a lot to be desired. By the time resident receives meal it is cold. There are no options for entrees that a resident receives. Appears to be one size fits all. Food is brought in from assisted living to memory care, therefore it is cold most days. All of the staff are nice and respectful except for the manager currently in charge. She does not appear to be able to handle uncomfortable questions when asked.
