Nothing in particular. They were helpful getting the move coordinated. Yes, we would recommend the community to other families based on the experience.

CriticalOppressive environment by management, smells bad, cheap food
WestPointe employs some loving people but owners and April, the rx boss, are abusive, and Mom’s room was so stinky. The carpet was likely peed on, but not changed before mom went in. Sooo smelly. Some staff is good, but the owner is not. The food is cheap and not healthy. My mom was not impressed with the activities. It is [fee removed] less than any other but the oppressive environment, smelly, residents scared to talk/fellowship and talk of bullying/gaslighting by management.

I lived there for roughly 6 months and the place is well awful, it's more of a mental health institution then retirement community. It's run down, the roof leaks, one woman had her ceiling collapse on her, the food is poor, they claim to have swimming pool and they do at there sister community West pointe, but it has no water in it. They claim to offer snacks, sorry will not happen, trips to places, good luck there, no activity except bingo, no cable or internet unless you get it and pay for it yourself, it's dir…

Both parents stayed here, unfortunately.The food was terrible and of the poorest quality. The place ,in general, was filthy. and infested with mice and roaches. This condition was also present in my parents' room. My mother even had to purchase her own rat traps and bait. We were paying for extra care and my mother was left unattended for over 5 hours. after falling and breaking her hip. Had to do a Site Evaluation for insurance purposes. Could not complete the evaluation because the place is a dump and was failing on the evaluation not even half way through the report. Could not tell who was staff and who was a patient as they all look half dead and miserable. If this is a Retirement Community, I would go rob a bank and be sentenced to a Federal Prison first.

AVOID AVOID AVOID RUDE ADMINISTRATOR AND PLACE SMELLS OF DEATH. Went to move a friend in and the room he was being placed in was dirty! I asked for it to be cleaned and Admin told us to get off his property!
