The staff at Oakwood Place is exceptional. During the most difficult time in our lives, they made the experience much easier. The care is genuine and knowledgeable, and the staff members are deeply devoted to the residents. Oakwood Place is a close-knit community. We are very grateful for the two years our mother spent there. The Family of Dorothy D

I have only heard amazing things about Oakwood Assisted Living, and after seeing their Facebook page, I went in for a visit. I've been touring a lot lately and this place stood out. It seems like they really go above and beyond to make sure their residents are comfortable, happy, and taken care of. Definitely our top choice so far.

I visited this facility

We checked the Oak Wood Place Assisted Living last summer. We toured this place for my sister, but even when my mom was there, I was there pretty much every day, and they had great meals. They took time and really cared for her. All the residents there were really friendly and wanted to sit around and talk. I mean, it was just a really nice place. Well, it was great. It was clean. It's got all kinds of activities and I mean, it's a really good place. I would recommend it. They can go shopping, they have b…

I visited this facility

Oak Wood Place Assisted Living is beautiful, absolutely beautiful, but way too big. Just walking to where the room was that my mother would be in, we went past three different sitting areas, and like I said, beautiful furniture, but mother had to sit down and rest in between. It was just too far, too big, and I felt like she would use that as an excuse to stay in her room, and not come out and socialize. My mother didn't like it because it was too big. The people that I dealt with were very nice, we walked pas…

I visited this facility

Oak Wood Place had space for a limited number of residents. There were no openings during the tour. I wasn't impressed with the rooms. They were very small and the furniture needed to be upgraded. I wasn't impressed because they seemed a little outdated. They were having some type of birthday party for somebody when I visited, so they were serving cake and ice cream. However, the staff member didn't seem very interested in showing me much of the place. I was able to see a room, but there really wasn&…

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I just wanted to express my appreciation and admiration for the Daniels family and OakWood Place. I have a parent living in OakWood for several years now. Never a complaint in all those years! The Daniels family are local and so hands on...not a corporation from somewhere else that owns the facility. I have experience with two more facilities and there is no comparison with the care, the food, the staff, the nurses and even the laundry! You wouldn't think laundry would be such an issue, but just put a loved on…
