I visited this facility

I went to Oakmont of Whittier. It's very expensive, but everything else looks great. It's very nice. The people are nice. It's a very spacious area. The facility is clean, so everything went well with that aspect of it.

Horrible Experience

If you value the safety of your loved one, DO NOT let them live at Oakmont. Yes, the building is lovely, and the sales presentation is great, but that's all. They honestly do not care about anything but money. They didn’t give my mom her meds on time, if at all. They say they're doing their routine checks, but they didnt check on her. They severely injured my mom by letting her fall out of the wheelchair while pushing it, then lie to the EMT who got called for the fall about how it happened. This place should be in…

I visited this facility

I toured Oakmont of Whittier. Everybody looked professional. They offered everything from a beautiful movie theater to a salon, and barbershop. They have a beautiful courtyard, a beautiful dining area, and they have a little coffee shop type of thing for morning people, a big workout room, and a therapist. They use a massage table, that was all downstairs, a beautiful library, and a nice, big living room where they have entertainment or activities, big entertainment like wine tasting and stuff like that. And then t…

Oakmont of Whittier is a beautiful community. It's very clean. They have a lot of good amenities. I like the food service from 7:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night. They have a set schedule for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but anybody can come at other times if they need to. They have good staff and a great area. It's all brand new. The rooms are spacious. I'm very happy with that, but the downfall is that it is expensive. The care that I'm going to have to pay for my dad would be quite a lo…

I visited this facility

Overall, we were very pleased with the tour at Oakmont of Whittier and the amenities that they offered. I would say everything was good. My father was not interested yet in a facility, but if we had to, that would have been our first choice. We had a meal there, and we were very pleased. My father had the salmon dish. He loves seafood, and he was very pleased with it. I had the special of the day, which was like a taco salad. The portions were good, and it wasn't overly seasoned. I think they were conscientiou…
