PositiveThey do honestly seem to care and are currently turning some things around to make it better overall, somewhat of an older facility. Lots of help with ALP/ALW (?) needs as well, but like most facilities the turnover is rather high with nursing and Med Staff. Activities offered seem fine but my mom cannot be involved in most of them. The food is just typical high volume and fast/easy to make I assume, but rivals very much the lower end of most hospital food.

PositiveWe toured Oakwood Meadows Assisted Living. It was clean. It was big. The patients are allowed to go outside and do whatever. It looks like a big older-style house. CriticalI'm in an assisted living called Oakwood Meadows Assisted Living. I've been here for almost 6 weeks now. I think the one thing I like least about it is that my stuff goes into the laundry, they do your laundry here, but I don't get some of it back. CriticalI toured Oakwood Meadows Assisted Living. Everybody has a roommate in every room, and I don't like that. The facility seemed OK. The community that I saw when I was waiting for the person to come around to give me the tour didn't seem happy. It didn't seem like a comfortable environment.

PositiveVery friendly staff, the building/grounds are older and could use some remodeling, but the staff more than make up for the difference. The price difference between an older building vs a newer building was a very large difference. My grandfather did not care about the physical building, but the people taking care of him.
