My sister was there for several weeks, before we just took her out of there. The remote call button in each room, has no microphone, it only lights up a light at the nurses station WAAAY DOWN THE HALL. It may take them 30-60 minutes to come see why you pushed the call button??? My sister fell three times while there. The nursing staff that we experienced were rude, unkind, and lacked any actual caring about the patient. We could not get my sister out of there fast enough. My wife is staying at Old Jefferson Community Care Center for rehab. She has physical therapy, speech therapy, and other nursing services as required. The staff appear to be fine. Their cleanliness is good, and the atmosphere appears to be reasonable. They have a lot of interplay at mealtimes. They can either have meals in their room or in a dining room setting. We had transferred my Mom to Old Jefferson Community Care. They were negligent of NOT flushing out her IV port & NOT changing the bandages since 1/25/21 after hospital stay. This was reported to us by the Hematology department during her visit there on 2/9/2021. This was discovered by a nurse in that department that ALARMED them greatly. She was treated by the Hematology/Cancer Center just for that for over 2 hours. This could have cause in infection. She had already been treated for UTI. The nurses & docto…

My mother is in the Old Jefferson Community Care Center nursing home. It's up and down really, depending on what's going on. I know they have to go by the CDC guidelines and all of that so they're doing well. Sometimes I just had issues but they seem to be helping me through them. Some staff is wonderful and some are not so wonderful. The activities are great though and the food is good. They have lots of areas for the residents to go in and it seems to be comfortable.
