I liked Oxford Springs Tulsa Assisted Living because it was a smaller facility. They only have like 30-something people, and there's just more attention, more one-on-one. It's not so big that my mom would just get lost. What I like about it is that they have lots of activities. They do not appear to have a tremendous staff turnover, so I think that's a good thing because my mom can get to know the people who are working with her better. I was very impressed with Oxford Springs Tulsa Assisted Living. The staff was very friendly, very informative, and very helpful. However, it wasn't something that we could come agree with. They first talked about putting my wife into assisted living, and they would have a nurse or an aide come by, but that was not something that would be good for her because she couldn't take care of herself at all. They treat my mom like family. I am not able to visit as often as I want to, know ing she's treated with love and care eases my mind. They know her as an individual and not just a room number. They are happy to answer any questions.

The facility on good days might warrant a 3. Hopefully, your loved ones does not need to leave the facility. My mother left twice, and twice they failed to make certain the receiving facility had the proper meds. Upon returning this last time, despite Oxford Springs having her release information 24 hours in advance, my mother did not receive her new meds for over 24 hours AND the lead nurse offered her medication that she was to discontinue. Apparently they had the medicine on premise, but failed to get it to her.…

I visited this facility

The community felt close-knit. It's smaller and their retention was long with their staff. They provide three meals a day and there's a courtyard. Courtney was amazing. She was able to educate us on the whole process. She was fantastic and she came in even on her day off to get us settled and figured out all the things. We appreciate her.

It is nice. There are friendly people that help you, it's a great place. My apartment has a bath with a shower, and a little kitchen area with a refrigerator and microwave. And then in the bedroom, there's a small living room with a TV and a recliner chair. The staff is great and the food is fair, they serve three meals a day. They had a happy hour once a week, and they serve juice and sweets. They provide physical therapy classes and they play bingo twice a week. They've got a courtyard.
