PositivePalmettos of Charleston is a place clean but dated. However, I was informed that they would be removing all of the carpets and replacing them with hardwood floors soon. The hallways are narrow too, but otherwise, it's a comfortable place. The staff has been friendly, very outgoing, and attentive. I did not try the food, but my mother cleaned her plate on her first meal and she was very pleased. I've checked their daily menu and it's adequate. There's enough choice and the portions are generous. …

PositiveThe staff is amazing they are so kind and caring and take wonderful care of my 97-year-old aunt. Through out the pandemic they have done everything they can to keep the residences safe, healthy and happy. I couldn’t ask for a better place. I never worry about her safety, she is always well looked after and treated like family.

PositiveI liked that this facility wasn't too small and wasn't too big. They keep my mother in law busy here, before COVID they would take them out into the community for different activities. All around they just seemed genuinely warm. The room sizes are great for what she needs, she is in a studio apartment. The food seems fine, she has not had any complaints. I would absolutely recommend The Palmettos of Charleston.

PositiveVery nice, clean, and friendly. [Name removed] was kind enough to give us a tour even though she said there was nothing on their books of a tour. Due to the distance from our house and no immediate availability in memory care this is not an option for us.

CriticalI was in Palmettos of Charleston for a month. I wasn't particularly happy with it. I didn't like the feel of it. The staff was okay. I didn't have any problem with the staff. I was in an old room. It wasn't good or it wasn't bad. The food was good. I was mainly there trying to rehabilitate myself. I had Bingo there.
