CriticalI would not recommend Pine Point Center to any family. My mother was sent there for rehab, and instead of improving, her condition worsened. During her stay, there was no hot water, the room temperature was unbearably hot, the floor was not properly cleaned, and she developed a bedsore. More concerning, our family repeatedly raised issues about swelling, oxygen problems, and redness around her wound. Those concerns were not taken seriously. Less than 24 hours after discharge, we had to call 911. At Maine Med, she w…

CriticalThe room was dirty . The shower room had towels laying on the floor . The food was cold and processed and used white bread . The common kitchen area had trays of half eaten food laying around . The physical therapy was limited and done with other patients at the same time . Overall this facility is unhealthy and depressing . I took my husband out early because he was not getting quality care especially on the weekend . The staff is limited and the patients are caught in the middle . I would never recommend this fac…

CriticalThis place is horrible. My uncle with stage 4 cancer has been there July 2024. His bed doesn’t work right and they refused to get him a new one. He was never given a shower for 3 weeks. He asked for help to use the commode and they left him sitting there for an hour. It took two CNA’s to figure out how to do a finger prick for an INR reading and then they used the wrong strips. He has a drain in his lung that fills up with fluid and they have been doing it wrong which has caused them to not get fluid out, so he was…

PositiveMy friend is at Pine Point Center. It's a nice nursing home. I think the staff members are experienced and nice. Sometimes, they're a little bit understaffed. As far as nursing homes go, I think her space is spacious and she's got a great view out of her windows. They have a nice common room. They have activities, but she doesn't do any of them. She stays in her bed. They have a nice patio in the shade where you can overlook the marsh.

PositiveThe Pine Point Center provided my Mom the utmost quality of highly skilled, compassionate care for many months. The staff worked well together as a cohesive team that openly promoted an environment of friendliness, expertise, and attention to their residents. Family interactions with the medical and nursing staff were open, honest, bi-directional and informative. Social Services and nursing staff were attentive to not only the resident’s wellness but also to that of the family caregiver members. CNAs and nurses, as…

CriticalI am only commenting on the rehab care. My husband was admitted for rehab after a knee replacement at the VA. Arrangements were made in advance by VA social worker including his list of required meds and schedule. He was never provided his supper or required meds. After 6 hours, I picked him up at 8 pm and took him home. Never experienced the PT, but the medical type care is very inadequate.
