I didn't like Pleasant Manor AFC at all. It was not what we were looking for. The shared rooms were small. The clientele that was there was a little bit in worse condition than what my mom was. I just met one staff and she seemed pleasant enough. I didn't like the vibe from it. I didn't see any activities. They had sitting areas.

My Mom’s Care!

I decided to take my mom to Pleasant Manor after a referral, a walk-through and a sit down with Annette the Mgr. I knew this would be the best place for my Moms Care. I was so impressed with the staff towards their residents. During the time of my mom’s stay. I was very happy and relieved to know she was getting excellent care. Our tour at Pleasant Manor AFC was fine. The accommodation was less than five-star though. It's a personal home that was renovated to accommodate this. It's aging and it needs maintenance. The person who is in charge of maintenance I don't think is putting enough money into the project to make it a nice place. There was paint on the ceiling flaking off, and there was tile in the bathroom that wasn't sealed up against the bathtub. The door they had going into the kitchen was not very secure. The …

They do a god job. The people are great. The food is great. My loved one gets his bed changed every day. And he is bathed and his clothes are changed every day as well.

Very friendly and caring staff, they go above and beyond to care for my mom. The home needs a few cosmetic repairs but the inside is always clean and organized. Two suggestions for improvement: 1. Provide a place for family to visit (although this has improved a bit) and 2. Provide a few activities for clients for mental and physical enrichment. All in all, I'm very happy with this facility and staff.

I would recommend this in a minute. The care is superb, they care about their residents. The community always notified me of any changes with my loved one. They really care for their patients and families. They are very friendly and helpful.
