Critical

I have a friend that has lived there for over two years. As far as I know, there are no apartments in independent living even close to the $2400 you reference. Her rent started at $4100 (a small 1 bedroom) and after 2 years beginning in 2026 will be over $4600. They do however offer lots of activities, a snack bar, restaurant, piano bar and many many really nice employees.

Very good care

We moved our Aunt into 5 Star of Reno a year and a half ago. She fit in almost immediately and has received very good care there. I feel the staff are very caring and attentive and they really try to have interesting and varied activities for the residents. My Aunt particularly enjoys the exercise classes, physical therapy, and the drumming classes.

Thumbs Up

The overall experience is a solid 4. Cleanliness is a 5. Friendliness of staff is a 5. Quality of care is a 4. It's difficult to provide assistance for a Parkinson's patient. My caring for a husband with Ataxia would rate a 4 as well because you can't keep up with this kind of person. Meals, I've eaten there and it's not a 5 star kind of dining, but the food is presented well, tasty and made fresh in house. However, the kitchen has changed hands. Based on my past experience, I would give it a solid 4. They have a n…

On [date removed] I took my 88-year-old father to visit this pretty location in Reno. We visited with a sales counselor who told us about this property and wisely shared the importance of being “proactive rather than reactive” when making a decision about when to make an important move like this. We were impressed with him and his conscientious, kind, patient, and respectful demeanor. He showed us the fantastic movie theater, serene exterior areas, and we could appreciate that they have an impressive, elegant libra…

I am/was a resident of this facility

I moved to Five Star Premier Residences of Reno. I knew the people here. It seemed to fit my way of wanting to live. They have a good dining room and the food is quite good. I'm in a one-bedroom apartment. The building seems to be very nice. It's only three stories but they have elevators that have made it easy to get around. They have a very nice exercise fitness program and they offer physical therapy.

I visited this facility

Five Star Premier Residences of Reno was nice and clean. I didn't eat there, but it looked like the food was pretty good. They had a bakery-like deal. Most of the units were all carpeted and they're going to take those out. There will just be carpet in the bedrooms, but they're going to put laminate flooring. It's easy to just trip on the rugs and it's hard for people with walkers and wheelchairs on the rugs. The staff told me each time a unit becomes available, they're going to put th…
