CriticalI was sent to Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington for Transitional Care following emergency surgery and a hospital stay. I had requested a private room in a 5 star facility. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed for a number of reasons! When I arrived, my husband and I were put in a room with a bed and a recliner chair- no other chair to sit in. We did not know where the button was to even ask for help! When a staff person came in he had a pile of papers for me to sign to be sure our insurance would pay for my stay …

PositiveMy wife was at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington. She was there for two weeks. The staff was friendly. They seemed very professional. The care was very extensive and seemed to be professional, too. They had doctor visits and nurse visits. The doctor's visit was twice a week. The place was clean and open. It was like they always had daylight inside. They had transportation for clinic or doctor visits.

CriticalI would like for people to know how incompetent one of your social workers is. Her name is "Allison". I would suggest people stay away from her. she called me and asked me to join in on a meeting they were having with my sister. At the time I was having some business done at my home and could not take the call. If she was having this meeting she should have asked ahead of time if this was a convenient time for me. We decided to have the meeting (on the phone) the following day. She was 10 mins late as we …

PositiveMy sister is currently living in the independent living section of Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington and it's a lateral move to assisted living. She's familiar with the facility. I like the price point. It was a nice apartment with a nice patio onto a courtyard. A well-maintained facility. The building manager was very attentive to the needs, and problems, and pointed out that they had their eyes on her. So, that's why we were moving her to assisted living based on some of the things that they were o…

PositiveWe toured Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington. The experience was great. David, one of the representatives who took us around. My nephew came with me and I have COPD. He had a wheelchair available, so I had less walking around. The only place we didn't see was the dining room because they had a couple of cases of COVID, so they had that closed up. He took us around the facility which is done nicely. I liked the apartment that he showed me. It's not too big, very airy, sunny, and spacious. The one I saw over…

PositiveMy sister is at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington and I was very pleased that I was always allowed access to her when I visited. She is in memory care and I thought that they took good care of the COVID situation and certainly protected her. Her husband is also in the facility, but on another floor. I've had a positive experience there. I thought they were always prompt in returning my phone calls whenever I needed to communicate with them. I've seen them preparing the food and they were careful about it.
