Definitely friendly staff, supportive, kind and caring employees

I can not rate the rest. My mom passed away within 48 hours of arriving. Her care was provided by Dayton's hospice team, not River Oaks. She didn't have any meals or anything there. We only paid a deposit and for the days she was there. Dayton Hospice was wonderful. But if you ever want reviews on Hospice of BlueAsh. They were an absolute money hungry nightmare. I would never recommend them to anyone I cared about. Everyone we encountered at River Oaks was amazing during that awful transition for us however.

Review for River Oaks

I did just have this conversation with a friend and recommended this facility to her for a family member. You cannot beat River Oaks for their care and concern. It felt more like a family instead of an institution. The cost, surprisingly enough, is lower than facilities that aren't nearly as good!

River Oaks, review

We were really happy with them at first. But they have had some staffing changes and the new people are not very good. When our loved one arrived the meals were good, but now our loved one won't eat them. With the care services our loved one has had a toe injury for a while now and has yet to see a Podiatrist.

Crooks!

This is not the place for your family. I had a family member living here and we finally helped move them out. The ED only cares about money!! We had so many complaints giving to her and she never fixed anything. Just went up on the rent! The place smells like urine and the aides don’t care. It looks like death in there. Don’t do it to yourself people. Trust me! The people writing these reviews are family. The staff members don’t even want to be there.

A good place for Alzheimer's

This facility is good, but my main concern is the continued outside agency help. I know that's an issue everywhere, but I still don't care for it. It's hard to build rapport when you don't have the same consistent staff. And it's hard for the staff, also. They aren't able to get to know the residents and their personal needs. Some of the caregivers are great and others not so much. The move in process could not have been better, it went very smooth. Housekeeping is ok, but the facility is all carpet and that makes …
