Review for Sarabella Senior Living

I looked at quite a few places with my husband that had independent living. My cousin, who is close by for my mom decided she wanted my mom really close to her in distance. My cousin found the 3 closest places to her. One was Sarabella. My mom really likes the food at Sarabella. The staff and residents are all very friendly. Beautiful modern facility, lower costs, lots of activities exercise opportunities, residents commensurate with my friend's physical status, worship/Bible study, large outside garden, lots of support on sliding fee scale. Excellent! everyone involved was very pleased.

not a place for mom

Our mom lived at SaraBella for 8 months. Staffing was a revolving door: at least 7 nurses, 5 activities directors, and a perpetual turnover among aides/med techs. We often encountered residents unattended; on many visits, our mother was sitting in wet and/or soiled clothing. Staff were often on phones: cell phone policy appeared unenforced. Nutrition/hygiene were troubling. Fruit was initially withheld from memory care; one staff member in the kitchen suggested we’d need an MD's note. "Fruit cost too much," he clai…

I am/was a resident of this facility

I live in SaraBella Senior Living in Sarasota. What I like best about it is that it's new, which is nice, and they have extensive activities every day for the residents. They also have good food and pleasant people working there. They have a few hiccups as everybody does, but nothing worth moving about, so I don't plan on moving. Every place is going to have a little hiccup. I know that nothing's perfect. It's basic living, plus they manage my intake of medication for me. I pay to have my medica…

Apartment size is perfect! We're in a LARGE one bedroom. Staff is absolutely amazing!! We've never had a single interaction with a staff member that wasn't STELLAR! We'd recommend Sarabella to everyone! We chose Sarabella, as opposed to the larger options we saw because it was a much "homier" environment and EVERYONE was (and still is, after 5 months!) so pleasant!! We don't have a single regret!
