We moved my Grandfather into Shearwater last November from a larger facility. It has been the best move we could have made for him. He is absolutely thriving there! He is beyond happy and loves the caregivers. They truly care about each and every resident and their individual needs. It has a small family feel that a big community can’t offer. We believe our Sister had the Best end of Life Care you could receive at Shearwater. The Nurses and helpers made her feel she was at home. She was happy, comfortable and pain free while staying there. She made friends in her short time, enjoyed the patio, and felt relaxed. We could not have found a better place for her last days. Friendly Place

Our Mom had been at Shearwater for over 1 year and she was happy there. She enjoyed the friends she's made and she liked the staff. They made the family feel welcomed doing all hours. My mother is at Shearwater Residence. So far, so good. We chose it because of close proximity to us. They have activities. It's a smaller environment and a little more homey. She has to have assistance, but she has memory issues as well. The staff seem to be attentive and they're doing all the things that they said they would do. We couldn't be happier with our selection of the Shearwater Residence for Mom. The caring staff, the open family atmosphere and accommodations are Wonderful. The fact that they keep the residents on a schedule and that they provide and encourage activities and meals to the residents as a group on a regular basis, which gets the residents out of their rooms, was especially attractive to us. Shearwater Residence is a beautiful care home that offers a full time chef and activity director. The owner and caring staff have created an environment where residents feel loved, engaged and safe. Most of the rooms have a private door that opens up to a wrap around deck where they can enjoy time outside. The families I have helped with placing loved ones at Shearwater Residence have been very grateful for finding such a wonderful care home.
