There were some hiccups with move-in and a couple of times we stopped by and had to straighten/clean up. And we had to ask repeatedly for the podiatrist to see my mother-in-law. Very pleased with the staff in the memory care unit. They are all kind and caring.

Rooms are small, noisy, not secure and dirty because of no housekeeping inspite of what they claim. Wrong medications are occasionally given. Food is usually pretty good, but you have to fight the flies and roaches for it. Some food servers are pleasant and efficient, while others are lousy and downright rude. A few of the caregivers are great, but most are substandard. Cost is ridiculously high. I would not recommend the Blake At Baxter if it were half the price.

My mother in law lived there for a year and we tried to make it work but after being given another residents medication for 2 weeks, having her room filthy and inhabitable because they don't have housekeeping she was forced to live with feces on her floor for days at a time, the toilet would be clogged for DAYS and no one to help fix it.
