My father-in-law was at Somerset Court of Cherryville. I liked the level of care and the staff. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They had a good attitude. There weren't many options in food and it's a limited menu. They had plenty of activities there. They had bingo, movie night, and gift exchange for holidays and birthdays. They celebrate everyone's birthday. They took them out at Christmastime. They went to a parade. They'll take them shopping. They go to Wal-Mart and local stores in…

My father has been @ Somerset for approximately 1 month. He has received excellent care & the nurses have been very attentive to him. I feel so much better knowing that he no longer alone in his home. He has gained weight & being with people which has improved his outlook.

Great visit today with Abby...really like the facility and the ability to move to Medicaid in the event of spenddown and family member would still have a private room...2 downsides, shared bathroom and distance from friends may be a trying situation to overcome for our family member. Will definitely be one of our 3 final choices

I've already got my father in an assisted living facility in North Carolina -- Somerset Court. It is very nice, especially the people who worked to have a private room, which is what my father's request was. He wanted to be in a room by himself. Also, he is a big TV watcher and, although they have direct TV in the facility, he is used to having more, so they allowed him more channels. MY concern

My only concern has been, when my mom is asked something, the attendant asking, to willingly accepts no for an answer. Most of why my mom is there is because she sets and does nothing, until her muscles turned to mush. It was easier for her not to eat, than to get up and fix something to eat.
