PositiveThe facilities are very nice. Everyone I've been in contact with is helpful, pleasant and friendly. The apartment is fine.... except the refrigerator door fastens on the wrong side ??. I was pleasantly surprised at having enough room in the bathroom to fit my cat's box. There are plenty of activities. My only negative might be the food. Luckily, there are options to order. I must say though, the food is disappointing. Overall the food is too salty. Except for the desserts: overall very good.

PositiveSonoma Hills Retirement is very pleasant. There were lots of lights and lots of windows, which I liked. It just didn't strike me as institutional or anything like that. It was like a very nice hotel. It's comfortable, too. The staff who gave the tour was excellent. She led us around, and we had lunch there. They had a very nice dining room, and the food was very good. The staff members were just excellent. There seemed to be a lot of activities. And in talking about the staff, they have all been there for…

PositiveI found that Sonoma Hills Retirement was peaceful and quiet. It didn't seem to have as many people buzzing around. It was a little bit older. The rooms were very well kept. It looked like they had a lot of variety in size for your furniture. The staff was very pleasant and showed us around. It was a shorter stay. We were able to just look at the two-bedrooms, the ones we thought we'd like. They had a restaurant style dining area. It was empty at the time because of the time. I believe they had assigned ta…

PositiveSonoma Hills Retirement was one of the first we visited. The visit was pleasant, our host was friendly and helpful. The pluses were, one, the apartments were all one level so that was a big plus, no stairs. Two, the price for 2-bedroom accommodation included a stacked washer and dryer. There is a one-time charge of $600 for a dog permit. Installation for a cable cost was about $50-$150. Reserved parking was free. However, there were several minuses like they only had independent living. Therefore, if we require ass…

PositiveI did visit Sonoma Retirement Homes (Sonoma Hills Retirement). They had 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units, and they’re all nice. They had nice patios. They had a workout room. They had laundry care. They had two meals a day and light meals for lunch. They had housekeeping too. We only met one staff -- the person who showed us around -- and she was very courteous. A very detailed lady, she knew what she was talking about.
★★★★★
PositiveSonoma Hills Retirement is a clean, nice, and well-run facility, and I’ve had a relative there for about 4 years. They have good meals and good supervision, so it’s a nice facility. The staff seem very polite, caring, and quite thorough in their jobs. It’s independent living, people have their own apartments, and they can dine in the dining hall or they can cook for themselves.
