My experience

The staff is very good- director-though has to go next door to the nursing home a lot for meetings etc. Not in our building often We have a lot of good activities The lobby and elevators could use more attention. But the rooms are clean. The apartment size is small 400+ sq. feet. We have several people who have moved in recently with dementia. In the dining room we have a salad bar and desserts . The food seems to have improved. Maintenance is very good. There are lots of activities, and friendships are formed. I knew how small my apt. was before I moved in, so I have no room to complain. Overall, I'm relatively comfortable here.

I moved into Southern Hills Retirement Community. What I liked about it was the people and the way they cared, the friendliness, a good kitchen, a good cook, and good food. They're good, transparent people. The room size is decent.

Friendly staff

The director [name removed] and [name removed] are friendly and do anything they can to help the residents. This is the most economical place to live for Seniors that serve food from 7am-6 pm daily. The food is very good. The cooks do a great job. We have a salad bar, ice cream, soda machine like QT and a juice machine, great desserts. The director over food service is friendly and listens to the residents. This a great place to live for Seniors

I visited this facility

The tour at Southern Hills Retirement Community was good. Unfortunately, everybody there was at least two decades older than me. They have food, but there's no kitchen or anything in the room and both elevators were out. Everybody was really friendly. The manager was friendly. If I were older, I might consider that one, but I felt like I would probably emotionally go more downhill than uphill there.
