Spring Hills Singing Woods

We're having a disappointing experience at Spring Hills Singing Woods. The dementia programming is nonexistent. Staff is not trained to cope with dementia behaviors. To date, they have not lived up to any of the standards proclaimed on their website. There is no weekly housekeeping service, family care conferences, multidisciplinary team care, food is often served cold. We are frequently called by staff to come take care of our mother.

Overall would recommend

Relatively good experience. Administration and the director of nursing are not good at responding to concerns. Takes weeks to ever get anything done. The dining hall can be a disaster. Days they have no bread for toast or sandwiches, days with no coffee. Nursing staff and the aides all seem very helpful and friendly

Staff communicate well and are pleasant & attentive to residents. Laundry is not always attended to in a timely manner

Mom passed away on 1/5 and the staff was very supportive. I am glad I had her there the staff was very engaged and friendly and they truly were an exceptional crew. The staff was very engaging and very supportive and extremely friendly.

What our family likes the most about the Spring Hills Singing Woods community is it seems that everyone is well cared for. The staff members are all responsive to the families needs.

Not good

It is not a good memory care place. Rooms were not cleaned on a regular schedule. Very little help was given to assist patients with showering or help in the dining room. I think probably patients were doped up so much that they became very frustrated and angry. And caused them to sleep a lot. The help there is pathetic. The help is not trained to deal with dementia or Alzheimer's.
