I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother has been in St James Place for less than a month now. So far, it's been outstanding. They have worked very closely with us, from my initial visit up to now. There's not a single negative thing that we could say. It's been great. Her room is just a single-person room, and she has no roommate, so it's a private room. I don't recall any room options that they have in the memory care section, but I like the security of it, and that's important to us. We have access to her, not ju…

The best thing our mom did

Our mother has been in independent living for three years and is thriving. Some areas are a little worn but they've been continually redoing areas. It's very clean. Until Covid restrictions she took advantage of all the activities offered including water aerobics, Brains in Balance, parties, games. The food was excellent, especially the Sunday brunch. Staff very caring. She is happy and safe. Hopefully things will return to normal soon. Administration has done an excellent job of keeping everyone protected and inf…

I visited this facility

St. James Place is three to four blocks from my son's house. They have independent, assisted living, and a nursing home, which was key. They had an indoor pool. It's a huge, wonderful place with rooms outside, patio homes, and beautiful landscaping. They have elevators because it's three floors. It was very good. The people were friendly and call the patients by name; that made me feel comfortable. The staff member who assisted me was wonderful. We saw the dining area, and they had good chefs.

St. James Place was wonderful, but I can't afford it. It's beautiful. I have friends who are there and my sister looked at it too. I loved it. The rooms that we saw were very nice and had high ceilings. If it weren't for my finances, I would probably move in in a minute. It had grounds, a lot of green space, and a lake. You could have a garden home, a cottage, a 2-bedroom, or a 1-bedroom. You could choose assisted living or memory care. It would cost more, but you could progress and still stay in the…

My parents lived in St. James for quite a few years, my dad is still there. The place is pretty ideal for where to live in retirement, very good facility with many opportunities for a pleasant life. The best thing about it is the staff, they really make a effort and take good care of you based on the level of care. I notice one reviewer said otherwise and I have to say I was very surprised by that, I'm sorry if there was a bad experience for them but it may not have been anyone's fault. In Assisted Living…

I visited this facility

St. James Place was very inviting. The lunch was excellent. The apartments were very large and had a bedroom, apartment, and townhouse with a garage. It was absolutely gorgeous, but out of my price range. The people were very good. It was a good place with a homey atmosphere and lots of activities. It was very large and had different dining facilities and a chapel. Everything was there. It was the largest of the four facilities that I had seen.
