Stacie's Chalet was offering a special at the time our loved one was moving in, and the value regarding that special was really good. However we are unsure of the overall going rate of this community. The month before COVID we were able to see the care services and the seemed good. We did not eat any meals at this community, but from the food we did see, it looked and smelled good, but another family member was able to eat there and they enjoyed the food.

This looks like a nice facility, especially in the foyer and lobby/dining area. The lady who took me around was very nice. I got to see a few rooms, one or two still occupied or in need of cleaning by prior tenant(s). There were definitely some unpleasant smells not just in the rooms but the hallways as well. Granted this isn't unusual with care homes but it did bother me.

They are very helpful and respectful. They seem to really care about their clients and go out of their way to make life easier for both the client and the family.

Angry, disappointed and Concerned

If I can rate a zero I would !!! Very unsafe place to work, eat, and live in. State is always there for things that should be fixed. Always understaffed and underpaid. Both MC and AL are understaffed, meaning there's only one caregiver in MC for 30 something residents. If you call in pretty much your on your own because they present to call caregivers in but never happen. No one stays to help MC and AL and half the time I see caregiver from AL jump into MC to help out. Bed bugs is a real concern, almost every resid…

I visited this facility

My visited with Stacie's Chalet Modesto wasn't merely as good as the other place I visited. It was more on the low end of the scale as far as facilities would go. The facility was smaller. It was not as accommodating for a person with limited capacity. The shower was not as nearly as good as the other place.

I visited this facility

Stacie's Chalet Modesto looked cozy and not institutional. It used to be a hotel, which is why I think the rooms are somewhat small. They have nice common rooms.
