The CNAs are amazing for the most part, apartments are spacious - mom has the one bedroom model - the other staff there are good too, maintenance man is kinda grumpy but easy to work with...food hasn't been her favorite, but got a new head chef so it's been improving...biggest complaint was with the nursing director ([name removed] or [name removed] or somebody) but he's gone now so the new one is much better.

I would rate all the above 5! It's a wonderful place with helpful helpers. Not cheap but worth the money! They are all helpful and "Johnny on the spot". Also know everyone's name. Friendly also!!

Beautiful, Caring Community for Residents and Families

I would recommend to others. I did a great deal of research & comparisons to the other available Assisted Living Facilities in Coralville/Iowa City. Stirlingshire is a mid range option. It is not the cheapest but not the priciest either. The entire staff seem to genuinely care about the residents they serve. They work very hard to offer activities/excursions/programs to engage and stimulate an aging population. Disappointed

With the exception of 2 of the CMA's one of the CNA's the cooks and front desk receptionist they all need refresher courses in Be Kind and Compassion starting with Mary Director of Nursing. The residents are people with feelings and should be treated as that not as an inconvenience. You do not know their stories and/or how they ended up in assisted living.

My loved one went there but we moved her quickly as it wasn't a good fit. She complain of people not being friendly, not enough ativities and not interesting activities. She wasn't set up for success there so we moved her to another place and the care she received there was so much better. On positive side the building is nice and views. Front desk worker was friendly. But our experience was lacking and we switched after a week and still had to pay 2months plus the large one time fee they did not compromise or offe…
