Mom has been there 1 year. In fact, today is her anniversary. Room is more than adequate. Mom has both "sides" of her apartment, so we were able to make her home very comfy! She was able to bring furniture from home, so her transition was very smooth. Food is wonderful. Mom is always full and compliments the chef. Nurses are kind and trustworthy. I was very impressed with Sunrise of East Brunswick because it's brand new. It's only maybe a couple of years old, and the facility was very nice. I toured for assisted living and was impressed by the different activities that they did. They were watching movies, playing games, and all kinds of other activities, and the residents were active in them. The staff was very good, and the menu looked very good, too. I would give them minus 10. They lie about the service they provide you. They charge you without providing any services. When I moved him to Sunrise, I was informed that an apartment there would be $[removed] a month and would include basic care, like helping in a shower or getting ready for the day. They informed me that since he came over from a rehab center and is still weak and needs assistance with the bathroom and taking a shower, he will be put on the Assisted Living Plus, Plus plan.
