The staff and other residents are so friendly, the have made my brother feel so welcome. The food is delicious as we have enjoyed a dinner and breakfast with him. I especially like the size of the facility, not too big yet has a memory care/ hospice care when the time comes, as my brother transitions to needing more care.

I visited Sunrise of Gurnee. They treated me very well. They were very helpful and very knowledgeable. They even gave me other help, even though my mom may not come to their facility. The rooms were very nice, very clean, and looked pretty organized. The dining area was nice. I could eat there myself. It was very clean and organized. They had a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu displayed, and more. Parking was OK.

I visited Sunrise of Gurnee. They were very warm and friendly, and also pet-friendly. There were some dogs that were there that were greeting visitors, but they do not have any system in place to help with like falls. There weren't any motion detectors or anything like that. They just come and check on the patient every couple of hours. They have activities and exercise there. We weren't able to sample the food, but we did see some activities. One group was playing bingo. Another group was doing a trivia …

My mother has been a resident for 4 years and the team at Sunrise provides a cheerful presence and a clean, homelike environment. They have skillfully adapted their services to meet her needs as her health declines. It is wonderful to see the extent they go to in making family feel welcome with monthly special events to encourage engagement with residents.
