What we like the most about the community is their caring and compassionate staff. Team spirit all the way around. Clean and well maintained facility. I lost both my parents this year and their final stay was at Sunrise San Mateo. We watched how the Sunrise team and hospice worked closely together to care for my parents during their last months of life. They were also tremendous support to me and my family.

I toured Sunrise of San Mateo. Everyone I met had been there at least five to ten years, and that's very good, because they don't have a lot of staff turnover. The facilities were clean and neat. The rooms were set up nicely, and the staff seemed very good.

My mom lived at Sunrise San Mateo for almost 8 years. I could not have asked for better care for her. She was always treated with dignity, even when moved to the memory care floor. The staff is incredibly caring and would always update me on her condition. I am grateful for their kindness and compassion for her care.

I had a wonderful experience meeting [name removed] and [name removed] . They are so kind and comforting. I also met the the nurse [name removed] . Overall I had such a positive experience meeting staff and other residents. There were so many people out in the Bistro room. Looked very lively!
