Happy with our choice

I especially love the assistants who do the activities with my parents especially [name removed]. The nurses are very welcoming on memory care floor and they take your concerns seriously and are very helpful with ideas to help my parents. The people who drive my mom to her regular infusions appointments are wonderful and very reliable. I just love the friendliness of the staff at this facility. Concerns - seems like the building is older and they sometimes have water leaks but the maintenance staff is on top of it.

Informative tour. [name removed] seemed very knowledgeable about Sunrise facility and professional. Listened to all my needs for my sister and detailed what Sunrise offers. Liked the facility/room that was available. Recommended other family members to visit.

A Lesson Learned

Clean and no offensive smells. Food was good. People were friendly. NO activity, visited at different times, clients just sat. No stimulation by either staff or tv's or music. When he left, he had totally regressed and we started over. Saw nothing of the programs that were discussed, and supposedly encouraged by the 7 million dollar grant. Hopefully there are places that engage clients and don't just let them sit!

I recently had a tour of Sunrise Silver Spring senior complex. All the staff were very pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful in explaining the operation of the facility. It seems to be a wonderful place for seniors to live.

Sunrise

Putting a loved one into assisted living is always a difficult decision. It is an adjustment for all persons involved, including family. Sunrise has made the transition for my mother as easy as humanly possible. It has been a difficult adjustment for Mom but everyone at Sunrise has done their best to see that she feels taken care of and loved. While she still wants her family with her as much as possible. Her health is improving. She is eating well. Doctors, nurses, care providers are all there for her 24 hour…

I visited this facility

The tour I did of Sunrise of Silver Spring's memory care was very good. It was excellent and the coordinator that I met was great. I like the facility, and the staff there seemed very helpful and knowledgeable. The building was clean and very orderly. Everything looks organized. They also have outdoor spaces, and they showed them to me, but it was snowing so we didn't go outside.
