BEWARE!!!! Had to move my family member out on an emergency basis because of a gaping wound on her upper thigh that went unaddressed for weeks and became necrotic, even though she was supposed to be seeing a nurse and getting bathed daily. Horrific!!!

Be very careful with these frauds. They talk a really good game and present themselves as compassionate, professional, and a step above. Don't believe it, they're just another business like any other. Overpriced and the opposite of compassionate, they're also greedy. Im 3 weeks into waiting for a refund of over $4k, all the while being told "any day now". My in-laws moved into The Blake at Kingsport. It's very clean and friendly, and everybody was so helpful, even the other members staying there. My mother-in-law has a queen-size bed and a chest drawer. He's got a bed and chest drawer. In the living room, he's got a full couch and a recliner. The kitchen's a good size. Be involved and persistent.

Hopefully it will continue to improve for us. I fully believe it's only better because I'm there often and making sure changes are happening for my loved one. I'm not sure if this is true for those that have no consistent advocate. With dementia patients, change can cause major setbacks. If not for that I would have moved him. At this point I'm not considering a move. Unfortunately, I think the attitude of most memory care is the patient is unaware so it doesn't matter unless a family member makes waves.

I visited this facility

The Blake at Kingsport is very nice and very clean. The staff is very personable, very knowledgeable, very caring about the residents, and very helpful with our questions. The cleanliness is excellent. It has a very nice structure. You can tell it's a very new facility. The size of the room is adequate, and the layout is great. The atmosphere is very comfortable and very welcoming.

My mother is at The Blake at Kingsport and they're a very caring and loving community. It's beautiful and has lots of activities and opportunities for the residents. They have a very hardworking and friendly staff. We're very, very, very pleased with them. The food is good.
