PositiveMy mother moved into The Chateau of Lawton. They're caring for her, she's in the memory care unit, and getting excellent care. They call me if there's an issue about anything. At least I'm kept in the loop, and I like that. The nursing staff is very friendly, giving out hugs when people need them or ask for them. But they have wonderful food and a very nice facility. I couldn't ask for it to be any better. They have a courtyard, they do cookouts when the weather is nice, and there is a salo…

CriticalMost of the staff at The Chateau of Lawton was caring and friendly. They had very few activities for the residents except watching TV. The only home health care provider allowed to take care of residents was one owned by the Chateau owner's wife. They suggested putting my dad on hospice because of the financial advantages and then proceeded to dose him with morphine which he didn't need. He quickly became unresponsive and died three days later. One staff member told me about the morphine and then later would not di…

CriticalThe staff at The Chateau of Lawton was nice. They showed us a large one-bedroom unit and it was also nice, but it was a big turnoff when they said that they were going to be knocking on your door every 2 hours. Another thing was they weren't willing to take doctor's appointments out at Fort Sill or to Oklahoma City. They said they would only do Lawton. Other than that, cleanliness seemed fine to me.
★★★★★
PositiveOne thing we really appreciate is the care and attention our loved one receives. They have activities but they could use a little more.

CriticalHorrible experience with my mother. Moved in [dates removed] and after 6 weeks living there, she spent the next 6 weeks in hospitals before passing at home with Hospice. The administrators there were cold, callous and tried to throw my mother out before she had options on where to safely go to. [name removed] lied to my face while looking me in the eye. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this facility.

CriticalI like the facility and the atmosphere, it is a really nice place. It is smaller with less residents and the staff is extremely friendly and seem to really care about my loved one. The problem I have had is my loved one has some physical problems and the doctors have told us she needs physical therapy. They kept telling me they were able to provide that and as of yet it has not happened. The manager can be defensive if you ask her questions about things so we are kind of getting the run around about that. They do h…
