CriticalI'm at The Claiborne at Hattiesburg Assisted Living, but it is taking me some effort to get settled in. It's a different lifestyle than what we were accustomed to on our own. The food has a little tinge of institutional quality to it. They have the activity directors popping through the door often, announcing something that's about to happen. It's overpriced.

PositiveWe visited Claiborne at Hattiesburg Assisted living. It is like the country club of retirement homes or nursing homes. They also have a memory center, which is very nice. All the rooms have kitchen, sitting area, bedroom, and bath with large shower. You could put a wheelchair in there, it is very big. They've got a theater, a library, and a post office in there. If it were me, I'd probably live there, because that's a little more my personality. I loved all those different units. It was like having a home. I only met one staff member. PositiveThe Claiborne at Hattiesburg was a very nice facility. The people were nice. They had individual rooms and it was very clean. They had a lot stuff there for the people that stay in the facility. They had a parlor, and there were quite a few ladies getting their hair done. They had a place for ice cream socials, and the cafeteria looked spacious and nice.

PositiveThis community is wonderful. You wouldn't believe the care my loved one is receiving, it is unbelievable. The Clairborne always fulfill the needs of the residents. If you ask for anything, they will go above and beyond to assist. They had a Halloween parade for the residents. They always have a great activity for the residents and families to participate in. We are able to have porch visits and virtual visits for the family and residents. The food is excellent for my loved one.
