Nice facility overall.

Facility is very nice. My mom's apartment is generous in size. The day staff are friendly & helpful. They really need an activities coordinator who wants to do things with the residents & has a variety of activities to keep the community entertained. There are some things that need improvement but the new director has only been working for a few weeks so we're just giving him some time to get used to the facility.

It is horrible - They are disrespectful. They never follow up on things. They do not do their jobs when it come to responding to tenants needs. All and all not a good place to consider if you are looking for a facility.

I would say if [name removed]is not working there, stay away. Make sure you get the contacts for corporate. A Place for Mom really helped me make a decision.

I toured this facility. It was nice, but I did not like it for my Mother. When her Dementia progresses, she would need to be moved to a "lock down" wing. The rooms are no longer apartments, but nothing more than plain white cells with a separate bathroom. I could not do that to my mother. I found a different place that Mom can stay in her same apartment through end of life care with hospice. Her environment never needs to change.

Perfect Place for Loved One

The care services is really good., my loved one loves it there, and really loves the staff. They love the food, and is very happy, which makes it much easier for me. My loved one is doing great, and it is a blessing that they like it there. It is more expensive than other places, but they offer a great service.

My mom is a resident of The Claiborne at Thibodaux. The appearance is very nice, and she likes her place. They do a good job of taking care of her; she needs a lot of care. They have activities that she can participate in, and they let me know when I can go there also. They go out to eat, or they do bingo and puzzles. She eats in the dining hall area with the residents, but then she could go back to her apartment, too. She has two aides to help her with her daily living functioning. I don't know too much about…
